[Important Information]
- If you delete “Rosetta (former Chatter Auto Translator)” completely, the “Rosetta (formerly Chatter Auto Translator)” application and administrative data (settings, translation logs, etc.) will be deleted and cannot be restored. (Translated Chatter posts will not be deleted.)
- In order to reinstall Rosetta (former Chatter Auto Translator), you will need to perform a complete removal as described in this support article.
- Please refer to “Scope of Reinstallation’s Effect” for the scope of reinstallation’s effect.
- Please refer to “How to Reinstall Rosetta (Former Chatter Auto Translator)” for instructions of how to perform the reinstallation.
- We are not responsible for the results of removing “Rosetta (former Chatter Auto Translator)” completely.
[Procedure]
-Revoke assigned permission set-
Before completely delete “Rosetta (former Chatter Auto Translator)”, you must revoke assigned permission set provided by “Rosetta (former Chatter Auto Translator)”.
- Select Settings > Administration > User Management > Permission Sets.
- Select the permission set that starts with “Chatter Auto Translator …” in the permission set list.
- Click on “Manage Assignments”.
- The list of users who have been assigned to the permission set is displayed.
- Select all users who have been assigned to the permission set and click “Delete Assignment”.
- Follow the instructions to proceed with the revoke.
- Please perform the above operation for all the permission sets that start with “Chatter Auto Translator …”.
-Remove sharing rules-
If you are using community translation, you will need to remove the ‘Sharing Settings’ associated with Rosetta (former Chatter Auto Translator).
(However, it depends on your organization’s security policy whether or not you have “Sharing Settings”. Please contact your system administrator.)
- Select Settings > Administration > Security Controls > Sharing Settings
- Delete the “CA Chatter Auto Translator Log Counter Sharing Rules” and “CA Chatter Auto Translator Settings Sharing Rules” in the “Sharing Settings” section of the screen.
-Remove other settings that are dependent on Rosetta (former Chatter Auto Translator)-
If your organization has its own settings that are dependent on Rosetta (former Chatter Auto Translator), you will get an error when you completely delete Rosetta (former Chatter Auto Translator). In this case, please follow the instructions displayed on the screen to delete the relevant setting.
-Complete removal of Rosetta (former Chatter Auto Translator) package-
- Select Settings > Build > Development > Installed packages.
- Click on “Uninstall” of the “Rosetta (former Chatter Auto Translator)” in the list of installed packages.
- Please carry out the following operations after understanding the contents of the cautionary note at the top of the screen that is displayed.
- There is the checkbox that shows “Yes. Uninstall this package to permanently remove all relevant components” at the bottom of the screen. Please check this and click “Uninstall”.
- If any dependency settings are left in Rosetta (former Chatter Auto Translator), you will get an error. Follow the instructions to resolve the error.
